Still inspired by the lecture Ted Polhemus gave the other day at Liverpool John Moore’s University. It was so interesting to see the world of fashion through his eyes and experiences. It was very refreshing to hear someone within the fashion industry speak their mind with strong opinions and thoughts on the topic.
Yesterday I was lucky enough to spend the day with fashion designer David Longshaw. He came into Liverpool John Moore’s University and talked about his education, career and his latest collection. I was so surprised at how down to earth he was, coming from Manchester but spending most of his career in London. David didn’t hold any secrets on his success and answered all questions and queries with enthusiasm and interest. I love his work, though very different to my own designs and usual taste, I admire his digital print onto silk which seems to be a favourite within his designs.
